TC Christian Welcomes Credo

TC Christian Welcomes Credo

Former TC Christian student, Emma Critchfield, shares with students as Cindy Stemple signs

What a brilliant way to start the week!  TC Christian welcomed vocal ensemble, Credo, to the campus for a combined Chapel event on Monday morning.  Credo is a vocal ensemble composed of students from Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids.

Specializing in sacred and secular a cappella music, Credo’s mission is to strive for excellence with the goal of glorifying God through music. They take their inspiration from Psalm 47:6: “Sing praises to our God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises.”  Credo sung an eclectic repertoire including Renaissance madrigals, contemporary popular songs, hymn arrangements, and vocal jazz.

This year, Credo includes former TC Christian student, Emma Critchfield, who stars in the line-up.  Emma remarked, both at the performance and afterwards while talking with high school students, how much she appreciated her TC Christian experience.  As a Psychology major, Emma said she was particularly grateful for her the grounding she had in her faith, and for the decidedly Christian approach offered at Cornerstone when studying a traditionally secular discipline like psychology.

It was an eye-opening and educational experience for many of our students and a truly terrific way to launch the school week.
