What do you teach / do at TC Christian?

Superintendent, MS/HS Principal

What do you enjoy most about working with students?

The welcoming community at school is a joy to be in each day! It is an honor to work alongside people who view their work with the same mindset and seek to encourage each other through both the highs and lows. It truly is an Authentic Biblical Community

How do you incorporate a Christian Worldview at TC Christian?

Abraham Kuyper said it best: “There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry, Mine!” Part of incorporating a Christian worldview involves providing students opportunities to see the interconnectedness of all areas of life and not creating isolated “boxes” of information. In addition, our Biblical Throughlines at TCCS seek to invite students to participate in the restoration process here on earth.

What unique experience, talent, or interest do you bring to your role to help shape the experience of students and their families?

Christian Education is something that has been a part of who I am. I attended Christian schooling throughout my K-12 years and also continued my education for my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees within a Christian education setting. These experiences have helped create roots which allows me to help shape our students and keep TC Christian true to its purpose. I also have experience teaching STEM classes in a previous teaching role. This hands-on, real-life type of learning is an area I would love to see here at TC Christian in the future.

How do you spend your summer breaks?

Summer breaks, as with anytime year-round, are spend outside enjoying various activities! My wife, Heather, and I enjoy all that Northern Michigan has to offer from hiking, biking, cross country skiing, and riding through the scenic routes in the area. God’s creation certainly is amazing!

What is your favorite bible verse?

Philipians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
