CEO of ‘Christianity Today’ To Visit TCCS

| March 16, 2019

Harold Smith, President and CEO of Christianity Today, will be our keynote speaker for a special event on April 4.  The setting will be relaxed and informal, and oriented towards fellowship and good conversation.  Harold will speak on the Culture, Christianity, Education, and a whole lot more.

Christianity Today was founded in 1956 and is based in Carol Stream, Illinois. The Washington Post calls Christianity Today, “evangelicalism’s flagship magazine” and The New York Times describes it as a “mainstream evangelical magazine”.  In a word, it’s Big!

CT’s founder, Billy Graham, started the magazine as a way to bring the evangelical Christian community together, stating that he wanted to plant the evangelical flag in the middle-of-the-road, taking the conservative theological position while also allowing room for multiple perspectives when it came to points of conflict in the culture.

It is this mission and focus that has been Harold Smith’s life work for the past 32 years.  And when it comes to the culture – politically, socially, spiritually – few know it better than Harold.  Plan on joining us for what promises to be a great evening of stimulating conversation laced with humor and stories shared by a man who has spent his life serving the Lord.  If you would like information on sponsoring a table and/or obtaining seats, please contact our Director of Mission Advancement, Craig O’Connor.
