Store Manager – Double Edge Thrift Shop (Supporting Traverse City Christian School)

Creative Arts Director (Part-time)

We are seeking a part-time staff position to oversee TC Christian’s Creative Arts Program.  This role has an emphasis on musical theater and involves working with school children across various grades (elementary to high school), along with adult volunteers.  It is anticipated that 2-3 performance events will be a feature of each school year.  These could include a show choir and musicals of one form or another.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to Direct
  • Musically talented (Arranging and Performing)
  • Theatrical experience (Performance and Choreography)
  • An understanding of production (Staging, Lighting, Audio, Video, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented
  • Organized and efficient team player
  • Excellent communicator
  • Formal education in the Arts preferred but not required

Store Manager – Double Edge Thrift Shop (Supporting Traverse City Christian School)

We are seeking a full-time staff position to oversee Traverse City Christian School’s Double Edge Thrift Shop. The Double Edge Store Manager oversees the general operations of the store and supervises the store and staff. This is a year-round, full-time position. This person must be willing to work some Saturdays.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage people and processes
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Previous retail experience (preferred)
  • Previous Supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Self-motivated and perform well with minimum supervision
  • Excellent math/accounting skills and familiarity working with cash receipts
  • Detail-oriented while keeping big picture in mind
  • Organized and efficient team player
  • Excellent communicator
  • Ability to handle a cash register and teach others how to handle one, which includes void transactions, discounts, tax exempt sales, etc)
  • Must keep information in a confidential and secure manner
  • Ability to train and develop staff and volunteers
  • Must be able to adhere to project and work deadlines
  • Ability to schedule, plan and manage a staff and volunteers
  • Formal education in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred but not required
