Sabres Have Best Season Ever!

They say that all good things must come to an end, and the end came to TC Christian’s historic season with a tough 46-40 loss to Onekama in Thursday’s regional final.
From the Record Eagle: TC Christian enjoyed a historic season, even after losing star guard Asher Coates early in the season to a torn ACL. The Sabres went on to set a school record for wins with 25, win only the second district title in school history, and tie with last season’s squad for the program’s longest playoff run.
“When Asher went down in December, I think a lot of people went, ‘Oh, well, we can still have an OK season.'” Coach Rene LaFreniere said. “I thought it might take us a while to recalibrate, but we didn’t miss a beat, and that’s because guys across the board stepped up. Not just the starters, the kids in practice who rarely get to take off their shooting shirts. They’re the ones who made us better, because they showed up every day and busted their butts.”
