Selection for this honor is based on a combination of academic success, leadership, community service related to the program, work ethic, and/or improvement in either academic or work ethic. “Lydia is a student who has excelled in Agriscience,” wrote Lydia’s program teacher. “She has demonstrated a high quality work ethic in all aspects of our program, especially with her work in our program’s barn and greenhouse. Lydia brings a positive attitude to our program each day and has a positive outlook on life. Her high quality work ethic and attitude is contagious to others. Lydia is a quiet and natural leader who leads by example and by doing the right thing – even when no one is watching. She asks great questions and never hesitates to jump right in when it comes to tasks in our greenhouse. Lydia is very deserving of the recognition as our Agriscience Student of the Third Quarter.”
