Cross Country Medals
middle schoolers received medals for their efforts in Division 4. Coach Burch picks up the story:
“All divisions (D1-D4) ran together for the 5k varsity race (204 total runners/48 D4 runners) and 2 mile middle school race (132 total runners/37 D4 runners) with results separated after the finish. This ensures and all runners can experience the competition seen in all divisions.
Mason Jager lead the varsity Sabres with a 26th place overall finish and 3rd place D4 finish with a time of 18:44. Dan Collins followed with a 19:54 finish for 62nd overall and 10th for D4. Both received medals for their efforts.
The middle school team also did an excellent job representing the Sabres. Chase Kinney lead the Sabres, finishing the 2 mile race in 13:53 for 56th place overall and 8th for D4. Lucas Jager (14:00) and Liam Coles (14:05) finished close behind Chase for 58th and 64th overall finish (D4 8th and 11th place finishes). All three middle schoolers also medaled.”
The Sabres travel to Kingsley High School on Tuesday, October 13th for the Kingsley Invitational. Let’s go, Sabres!
