My high school students are the reason why I show up every day — and more specifically, why I love my job. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness their growth, not just academically, but also as they discover who they are as individuals and embrace whose they are as children of God. I love discussing literature with them and seeing their unique and thoughtful perspectives on different topics. They make teaching fun, and my goal is to create a classroom environment where they feel loved and seen.

School Culture

Cultivating Relationships
High school is a time of discovery, and at TC Christian, students find a place where they are known. In small classrooms filled with meaningful conversation, teachers become mentors — guiding students through challenges and helping them prepare for what’s ahead. Walking through the halls, you’ll see students engaged in thoughtful discussions, praying together before a big test, and building friendships that will last long after graduation.
Leadership and Service
Faith comes to life when students put it into action. In chapel, students’ voices rise in worship, while in the community, their hands are busy serving those in need. Whether they’re mentoring younger students or organizing outreach projects, they’re learning what it means to lead with humility. Student Council brings energy and ideas, giving students a role in school life and real opportunities to shape their community.

Our 40-acre campus on the outskirts of Traverse City is designed for students to connect and thrive. In dedicated high school classrooms, focused learning takes place, while shared spaces spark collaboration. From the moment they step on campus, students know they truly belong.
