From Farm To Campus
Four generations of Lautners farmed and lived on the land that bordered Emerson and Garfield. In 1996, Jerry and Mary Lautner gifted a portion of their farm to help launch what is today the TC Christian campus. This morning their son, Duane Lautner, stopped by TCCS to share a little of his family’s history. He said his father was immensely proud of the fact that he was able to help TCCS with the acquisition of land for the school. “It’s what God wanted,” said Duane. The plaque he’s holding commemorates the Lautner’s extraordinary gift and will soon be affixed to the boulder in front of the school.
