Hall Of Fame Honorees

What an unforgettable night at Traverse City Christian School! Last Friday, during halftime of our thrilling varsity basketball game against St. Francis, we celebrated the 30th anniversary of TC Christian by inducting the inaugural class into the TC Christian Hall of Fame. Honoring two visionary founding couples, Doug and Sally Knorr and Kelly and Debra Miller, along with legendary coach Ron Christie, the ceremony highlighted their enduring dedication, faith, and service that have shaped our school for three decades. These remarkable individuals embody our theme from Colossians 1:10: “For His Glory!”, living fruitfully to please the Lord and enrich our community.
The Knorrs and Millers, who helped launch TCCS in 1995, have been steadfast pillars, balancing thriving family businesses with board service, countless volunteer hours, and generous giving. Their legacy spans generations, with children in leadership roles and grandchildren as current students. Even today, the Knorrs organize our annual Classic Car Show, while the Millers host welcoming summer BBQs for new TCCS students and their families. Coach Christie transformed our boys’ soccer program over 19 seasons, amassing 284 wins, eight district championships, three regional titles, and multiple Coach of the Year honors, earning praise not just for his strategic brilliance, but for his integrity and mentorship.
Thank you all for your profound impact. You have left a lasting legacy upon which future generations can build. May God bless you abundantly!
