Tales From Belize
At a special chapel service at TC Christian, the senior class, fresh from their mission trip to Belize, shared their transformative experiences with middle school and high school students, staff, special guests, and parents. In the community of Caledonia, the students engaged in meaningful ministry, serving at a local church, distributing food to those in need, doing home improvements, and working closely with the area’s children. They recounted how they were welcomed with kindness, dispelling their initial uncertainties about what to expect. Throughout the trip, they witnessed God’s provision in profound ways—granting them energy when exhaustion set in, resilience and patience amid shifting daily plans, and encouragement through others when their faith wavered. The students offered their gratitude toward TCCS for providing such a life-changing opportunity.
The service was a beautiful time of testimony and celebration of the Lord, highlighted by stories of personal spiritual awakenings among the students. Some described a profound shift in their faith, moving from merely “checking the box” of church attendance to a genuine hunger for more of Jesus in their lives. One student even took the step of baptism during the trip, symbolizing a renewed commitment to Christ.
Overall, the seniors’ shared journey not only strengthened their bonds as a class but also deepened their faith in the Lord. What a gift!
