Varsity Soccer Wraps Up Successful Season
The TCCS/TCSF Varsity soccer team concluded their season in the regional finals last week, falling to Cedar Springs 2-0 in a closely fought battle. Despite the loss, the team can hold their heads high. The team moved up to D2 this year and were the second-smallest team in the class. Even with that jump, the players put up a 16-6-2 record while making the regional championship match for the first time in more than two decades.
“This is a team that came together to play,” head coach, Roy Montney, said. “The accomplishments that we’ve done is from coming together as a team. Our motto at the beginning of the year was, ‘Willing to work harder.’ They did. They worked hard. There’s no question about that.” Great season, guys! We’re proud of you.
