School Life at Traverse City Christian School
Together in Faith. Growing in Community.
As a parent, you may struggle to find a private Christian school where your child can be challenged and inspired. In a world where digital distractions can often replace face-to-face moments, you worry that your child might miss out on discovering their unique gifts or building genuine friendships. You’re searching for a nurturing place where experiences will allow your child to explore opportunities and truly connect.
Are you ready to see your child embrace an educational journey filled with joy and lasting connections?
At Traverse City Christian School, our mission is to partner with families in creating a Christ-centered environment where faith and excellence go hand in hand. We strive to cultivate a community where students feel excited to gear up for the next basketball game, express their creativity on canvas, or participate in a mission trip that will transform their hearts and minds. If this is something you’re looking for, we invite you to learn more about school life at TC Christian.
Here’s what you can expect:
Athletics & Arts
Unleashing talent. Inspiring unity.
At TC Christian, you want your child to experience success beyond the classroom. Through athletics and the arts, students develop discipline, creativity, and teamwork — skills that they will find valuable today and in the future. Whether on the field or on the stage, they’ll find opportunities to use their talents for God’s glory.

Leadership
Leadership at TC Christian is deeply rooted in serving others. We believe that true leaders are those who serve with humility and impact their community. Students are encouraged to take on leadership roles through a variety of programs and mission opportunities.

Service Learning & Mission Trips
- Elementary: Activities such as decorating lunch bags for Project Feed the Kids or making cards for assisted living residents.
- Middle School: Participating in the All School Service Day and partnering with local ministries to pack Christmas kits.
- High School: Volunteering at blood drives, serving weekly with Project Feed the Kids, and engaging in senior mission trips to places like Belize and Jamaica.
Everyone has a place to lead.
The Buddy Program connects middle and high school students with younger peers, allowing them to nurture leadership skills and build lasting relationships. In the Student Council, your child can step into roles of responsibility, organizing school events and representing their classmates, all while cultivating a spirit of servant leadership. Meanwhile, the Worship Team provides high school students the opportunity to lead, select music, and guide their peers in honoring God during Chapel.
Together, these programs empower students to grow as leaders, shaping both their character and their community.

I wouldn’t have my faith if I hadn’t come to TC Christian. Shortly after joining in 9th grade, I became a Christian, and this school has been instrumental in strengthening that faith. I feel more prepared to navigate life’s challenges with Christ by my side. Beyond that, I’ve built meaningful connections with classmates and teachers who have shown me what true community looks like. TC Christian has been one of the best parts of my life, and I’m going to miss every bit of it.
