At TC Christian, prayer is a big part of each day.  From classrooms to chapels to cafeterias to conferences, prayer undergirds everything we do as a school.  So it’s always a joy when we get to join the greater business and ministry community to celebrate events like the National Day of Prayer.

Each year, America joins together on the first Thursday of May, turning to God in prayer and meditation at churches, in groups, and as individuals.  The Day of Prayer breakfast starts the day off in Traverse City and, thanks to the generosity of several donors, TCCS was able to bring the Student Council and several staff members to be part of the celebration.  As so often happens at events like these, because TC Christian is well-represented across many facets of business and the community it wasn’t surprising to run into parents and alumni who were also in attendance praying with their employees and ministry partners.

Following breakfast, the entire school came together in the gym for an extended Chapel service that focused on prayer and the themes of Standing In The Gap and Love One Another.  Students, faculty, and staff prayed for a number of important priorities including area churches, those in positions of power and leadership, the persecuted Church, and the nation.  You can see some of the highlights here.
